No Flowers and It Still Looks Good

This calla finished blooming a couple of weeks ago. Right now there is nothing blooming and yet it still looks good. I know I've said this before, but I can't over emphasize the importance of good foliage plants. This particular combo is one I intend to use over and over. The nearly black foliage of the dahlia and the almost-perfect matching stripe in the canna are pure perfection in my humble opinion (I get all giddy over little successes like this)

Even the stems have interesting speckles.

  1. I am in awe of your container planting prowess. Teach me, o master! (All kidding aside, I intend to incorporate some of what I've seen on your blog into my own containers next year.)

  2. I love follage and I love to mix different colors of leaves together in a flower bed.

  3. My head is spinning with all the ideas you've given me! lol I always jot down in a notebook ideas you've posted and names of flowers:-)

I appreciate you taking the time and effort to leave a comment. I will try to answer any questions you have. Please note due to Blogger changing word verification so almost nobody can read it, I have had to change to no word verification and only allow registered users to comment.
