Making Miscellaneous Christmas Quilt Blocks
-
At the moment, I have no idea what will become of these quilt blocks I have
been making for the past couple of weeks. I guess they will remain in this
bin...

I just planted some daffodils yesterday that I got late last week. On the map I am actually in Zone 5, though my weather patterns in terms of first and last frost are closer to Zone 4. But a lot of mail order firms ship out plants based on the zone map, so I get things later than I would like.
ReplyDeleteI just bought a batch of daffodil bulbs, but we have rain again (at least it's not snow).
ReplyDeleteThose bulbs look plenty big to me. You must have been expecting something REALLY huge.
I still have to plant my tulip/crocus combo, allium and some daylily plants I picked up on sale!
ReplyDeleteI cannot wait to see what you are going to do with these vulgaris bulbs!!
Kathy, I know what you mean. I wish I had received these at least a week earlier.
ReplyDeleteKaren, For some reason I did think they would be gigantic things. I guess because the flower itself is so huge.
Sissy, I have already dug the holes for them (last week when I was planting some other lilies). I am putting them out in the rockwall area, hoping they are far enough away that I won't smell them. It will be interesting to see what happens.
I can just imagine how excited you were when you received your bulbs:-) I didn't plant any this year...I must plan to dig up a couple more flowerbeds next year and then I'll be planting some!
ReplyDelete'still'?? I have not yet started *blush*. But heck, the ground is not frozen right??
ReplyDeleteOMG - half of my refrigerator is now bulbs. Yes, I'm still planting.
ReplyDeleteYes, I still want to plant some tulips and daffs, but the forecast is for rain, rain, and more rain! Bah humbug!
ReplyDeleteI'll have to plant between the drops.
Good afternoon.. I tried to find dracunculus vulgaris bulbs too in Breck's site and i couldn't find it. Do they still sell them? Please, can i have the link for that product? Thank very much!
