I found out how much space Blogger allows for pictures.
Here is the info taken from Blogger's own help files:
What are the limits on the size or number of pictures uploaded?
When you upload an image, it is resampled and resized according to the size you choose in the upload form. This lets it take up less space on the server. You can fill up to 300 MB of server space with images.
What file types are supported?
You can upload images in JPG, GIF, PNG, TIF or BMP format.
What I still have not found out is how you know how much space you are using and what happens when you use up all your space.
Thanks to Dianne (our resident HTML whiz!) I got rid of the little blurb that kept appearing before you entered my site.
Making Miscellaneous Christmas Quilt Blocks
-
At the moment, I have no idea what will become of these quilt blocks I have
been making for the past couple of weeks. I guess they will remain in this
bin...

I was looking there, but I guess you looked longer and harder.300 mgbs is pretty good.
ReplyDeleteUnder 'header' in your html, the numbers displayed there are too small. It should be at least 700 pxs wide. If this makes you nervous about trying to fix it, don't worry about it. As long as all the links work.
ReplyDeleteMine looks like this:
[#header {float: left;}
width: 702px;]-see what a big # this is?
You can always try it and if it doesn't work do the erase edit.
I think I did it!
ReplyDeleteHere's what I changed:
div#mainClm{float:left;padding:13px 50px 10px 5%;width:68%;}
I changed the 68% to 108%
Is it working on your computer?
Oh, shoot. That didn't work. It made the bar larger, but it took all of my right side margin things off the screen.
ReplyDeleteBack to the drawing board.
Ok, I think I see what's wrong: See where your sidebar command at the top is separated by the ones about 10 lines down? Your top blogger bar is lined up perfectly with your blogger topics, so that may be it. I think you have to move them all together. There's alway erase edit. We'll figure this out! ; )
ReplyDeleteTry moving the top sidebar command down. I knew I forgot to tell you something.
ReplyDeleteI moved all the sidebar tags all over the place--up, down, together---nothing worked.
ReplyDeleteSomeplace I need to tell it NOT to break for the side margin with the blogger header. (It appears to be stopping at the 68% margin for the side bar.)
I am on a mission now!
Well, Dianne, I have tried just about everything I can think of. I even printed out my template code from July and went line by line with the current to see if I could find any differences that may be causing it. I even printed the code from a couple of other people's pages using the same template. No luck at all.
ReplyDeleteI am officially admitting defeat.
Thank you for all of your helpful ideas. I really appreciated it.
whoa! That was quite a conversation between you and Dianne, Zoey. I hope you get it worked out. Your project is so colorful to brighten up our winter days. Very clever of you to learn something new. Love your photos. You've been busy!
ReplyDeleteLOL, Kerrie.
ReplyDeleteYes, it was!
I never did get it fixed.
