I know you are all prettty tired of tulips by now. But mine just began blooming, so I must show them to you.
The deer only nibbled at them once, so I got quite a few to bloom. There are still quite a few that have not opened. This is about half of them.
This is the longest shot, which shows almost all of the rockwall garden.
I can't remember what any of them are. They were all planted at least three years ago.
I've always loved these orange ones, but they are pretty short this year. They are about 5 years old, so I am just happy to get any bloom at all from them.
Today I planted the two big half barrels on the deck and the old sled. I did pretty good on spending less money. I will show them to you another day because I am just too tired tonight.

I also went shopping for plants at work and planted the 4 big containers there. This is what I wore to work today.
Does it look like something you would want to wear to go plant buying? I call it my school marm look. All lace, collar up to my chin, long sleeves and another long-sleeved jacket over it.
I don't know why I am smiling. I was totally miserable in the hot sun buying plants! The boss went with me (he had the truck to haul everything...and the check to pay for it all). I made him take me home to change clothes before I went back to work to plant. I felt much better once I got all that heavy stuff off!
Now that I've planted so much stuff, I hope it doesn't frost!
Oooh, the tulips look lovely!
ReplyDeleteZoey - you have tulips!!! They are gorgeous - what a perfect setting for them - beautiful. I can't speak for anyone else, but I can't imagine ever being tired of seeing tulips blooming - so please post as many photos of them as you want!!
ReplyDeleteThe tulips are so pretty popping up everywhere. I don't have that many, but I do enjoy seeing them in the spring also. Some need to be replanted as they are all leaf and flowers.
ReplyDeleteThat's a nice photo of you. Wow, you were really dressed up and for winter. Glad you got to change.
All leaf and 'no' flowers that should say. I make too many mistakes late at night.
ReplyDeleteYour tulips look really nice. I didn't get very many this year. I am tring really hard to want to garden but I haven't real got in the mood yet!
ReplyDeleteThose orange ones that you love are, I'm pretty sure, 'Princess Irene'. I have them and they are my favorite!! They are fairly short naturally.
ReplyDeleteI never get sick of tulips!
Never tired of tulips! They look just lovely!!
