This is the back side of the long beds that I am always showing you. To me it is the back, but, I guess it is really "the front" as it is what is seen from the road. Look at all that Sedum Autumn Joy! (I think I told you I have a hundred or more of them and now you can see I was telling the truth!) You will certainly be seeing more of this when it all blooms.

You are insane. Absolutely crazy. I've never seen anything like it before. I know alot of gardeners but you are the 'Queen'. I think you are great!
I keep going back to this picture. Did you buy all these plants or divide them. And if you divided them how many years did it take to get all these sedums?
Until this year I divided them every year--just took a shovel and cut half out. This year I did not divide any and it's a good thing because they are all much smaller than normal. These gardens are 4 years old (I think--I lose track). I probably bought about a dozen plants to begin with. So the majority of them were totally FREE--another reason I love them so much.
You know, Sandy, I must have many more than 100--just in that first bed there must be 20 - you can't even see the left side of the bed. I do believe there are more than 100 in this pic alone and I have at least double what is here. I think I should go out tonight and count them all............Oh, my, bring on the straitjacket!
Does your husband give you a hard time?

Sandy, a hard time about all the flowers? He used to have a real "snit" every time I wanted to dig a new garden because I would be taking his grass. It took a few years before he agreed to release that grass in the back of the deck. You would think it was made of gold or something - lol. I have not dug any new areas in about two years, so not sure if he is still so attached to his beloved grass or not. Overall, though, he is a real gem. If I am out of town he will even water all those deck plants for me!
What a good man!! What is it with guys and grass? They seem to have a weird attachment to it.
At least we only have weeds in our lawn. Who could get attached to that?
I was just wondering how long it took you to develop your gardens. I was guessing around 10 years and was surprised to see it only took 4! I hope I can match your pace (even if I don't have quite that much space.)
Kasmira, Only this part is 4 years old. The oldest is the rockwall area and that is about 15 years old now!
How do keep this all weeded?
Sylvana, I am mentally ill and actually like to weed- LOL. It does keep me hopping in the spring and sometimes is overwhelming. There are days in the spring when I have to spend 3 or 4 hours just digging weeds. Once all the flowers come up, it is much easier as they are planted so thickly that few weeds get through.
