Sometimes I think dandies get a bad rap.Look at how lovely this large dandelion looks next to my big mossy rock.

- I am so glad you stopped by to visit my garden. I garden in lower northern Michigan (zone 5) in far less than ideal conditions. I have too many pine trees, too much shade, too many rocks, herds of hosta-munching deer and rabbits who think my lilly buds are gourmet appetizers. I am by no means an expert in horticulture or garden design--just an amateur with a shovel and a passion. My garden changes daily during the summer and I will be updating frequently. During the winter months, I blog about my favorite cold-weather hobby--quilting and just my everyday musings. I hope you enjoy your visit, and that you will come back soon.

They do get a bad rep.

I hear you, Jenn! I am always complaining about my neighbor's lot which is loaded with them. Right this minute the seeds are blowing into my freshly dug border.
ReplyDeleteYour yard is gorgeous! A real credit to you Zoey! I agree about dandelions...they're really pretty...but such a nuisance. I have a picture to post of them by our stump. They're looking lovely :) Should've seen them in my lawn before I mowed it today...a sea of yellow. I only had a small window of opportunity before the rains descended again. Still have more to do.
