Or how to make the cent sign appear in your post.
I just had to look up how to do this for another purpose, so I thought I would post it just in case someone else wants to know how.
Just hold down the Alt key and hit 0162 from the keypad, not the numbers on top of your keyboard. I don't believe it will work if you use the top ones (at least it won't on my computer)

Somebody stop me!!!
This I knew because of eBay . : )
ReplyDeleteThat makes sense. ;)
ReplyDeleteThank you. I was trying to do this the other day. What I usually end up doing when I can't remember how to do these things is Google something that will show the symbol, copy it, paste it in my writing and format it to fit the rest of what I am writing. That comes in handy for all those crazy European letters and symbols.
ReplyDeleteThere is a large selection of symbols that can be inserted just click on "Insert" on your Microsoft Works tool bar, select "Special Character" from the drop down menu, click on any symbol, then click "Insert" and "Close" when you are finished. I have Vista Home Premium, but as I recall Windows XP works the same way.
