Actually we get away all the time...probably twice a month. It's the main benefit of being a TIAGC - (two income aging grandchildless couple) :)
It was a spur of moment decision. Saturday morning I scrubbed the floors very early, then went grocery shopping with DH. We stopped at a few garage sales and we were home by 10:00 a.m.
The sky was getting dark and it looked like it would be too rainy to work outside, so we took off for a day of gambling, good food, and site seeing.
We had a great time. I made a little picture collage to show the day's highlights.
