Remember that Bright yellow paint I showed you a few days ago? My plan was to buy a chartreuse color. I think this is a bit more yellow than I had wanted. I hesitated awhile before dipping the paint brush in and beginning to paint................

my potting bench!
Shocking, isn't it?
I painted it Friday night and did not get to finish it until today.
I had originally bought aqua paint for the birdhouse. See the items on the ground? That is the aqua color. Once I saw how bright the bench was, I decided the aqua just was not strong enough for the bird house. I needed bright primary colors.
So I went to the basement today and looked through my craft paints. I pulled out a few colors I thought would work, took a deep breath and started painting.
I loved the new bright bird house colors. See all that stuff in the back? I scoured the basement for stuff I could paint to go with the bench. I plan to use this bench to make flower arrangements more than pot up plants.
So I painted some baskets and some containers to hold scissors, ribbon, etc.
Here it is all finished and back up on the deck with my painted accessories. I am planning to make a sunflower arrangement in that big heart shaped wreath on the floor.
Wow-that is bright and awesome! It looks pretty the way you have it decorated, but I bet it will be a fun place to make your arrangements. I love to see how you reuse things! : )
ReplyDelete(PS-I love chartreuse myself, but this is just as vivid).
I wish I had your talent for decorating. Those colors are just beautiful and will look so great with the items you sewed!
ReplyDeleteSo adorable! I just love the bright colors. Need to convince my hubby to thrift with me so I'll have a strong man to carry home my treasures!
ReplyDeleteI love the color. My neighbors have two adirondack chairs painted almost the same color. They have the same color in different accents in the yard. It looks so cheerful and welcoming, when we drive down the street, and see these pretty things. Good choice!
ReplyDeleteOooooooh, I LOVE it!!! I'm always so hesitent when it comes to bright paints but you've proven just how gorgeous they can be! You realize now you'll have me looking around for stuff to paint in bright colours?? lol xoxo
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful! Did DH make it for you?
ReplyDeleteI love all the bright colors!
ReplyDelete...especially the "I tweet" bird house.
I plan to collect items this winter from the local thrift shops for my deck and flower beds for next year.
ps. try the cherry squares, they are so easy !
