It is a lot of money, but we are actually very happy that our drain clog was nothing more than gunk build up and it was easy to fix. An electric snake thingie, 20 minutes and it drains faster than my checkbook on the C*old*water C*reek site.
$135 for 19 years of build up. We thought it was a reasonable charge if broken down to $7.10 per year. There is an optimistic way to look at almost everything. :)
While the plumber did his thing, I was coloring quilt mystery block pieces to see if I could figure out what it was before I made it.
I am not going to sew it until the mystery is revealed and I can see if it's something I like.

That wasn't a bad charge at all Zoey! Mine was here at least 2 hours or more and had to replace parts. Apparently our clog was way down the line. Here's to another 19 yrs of clean drains!

This really made me laugh. I've been telling my daughters (age 23 and 19) to marry a plumber! They think I'm kidding.

My uncle was a plumber, and the dirty situations they get into make them really deserve that money...at least most of the time. There are shady ones of course :-)

ReplyDeleteZoey, clean pipes, ah nothing better! Sorry the price had to be so high, though. And being married to a fix-it-all guy has it's ups and downs, of that you can be assured. The up side is they can fix it, the down side is, WHEN?? Sometimes it would be so much more convenient to call in someone and get it over with, lol!
