I had an extra five minutes before I needed to leave for work today so I ran down to the basement to search for more of the turquoise fabric I need for the valances. I found it right where it should be -- in the blue fabric bin.
When I got home this afternoon I set about cutting and sewing the tubes I need. Here you see 28 feet all sewn & ready to turn right side out.
Now that's a scary thought--turning 28 feet of these tubes right side out!
Lucky for me I have this.
It's a joy to behold!
In less than half an hour I had all 28 feet turned right side out.
The last step is to hand stitch and gather them all. That will wait for another day because I am not in the mood right now.
I need to call my mother and see what she's doing for Thanksgiving. We are going to my inlaws, but I also plan to cook a turkey myself, maybe this Saturday. I need to stop sewing and start thinking about what I will be serving. It won't be anything too elaborate, probably just the typical turkey day meal.
That's a neat contraption. I remember my grandmom helping me turn stuff right side out like that by putting a safety pin on the one end.
ReplyDeleteI still need to get our free turkey. I didn't want to get it today as I was hoping they'd get a new shipment in just in case the weekend crowd picked them over. Maybe tomorrow. I have to go to the dentist sometime before Thanksgiving too! Rats!
Leave it to you to think up of using that plastic with a safety pin to turn those tubes right side up:-) I can well imagine the nightmare it would be trying to do that with just your hands.
ReplyDeleteHaving had our Thanksgiving back in October, it just feels so weird that yours is yet to come up! lol Hmmmm, I should cross the border that day so that I can celebrate it again:-) xoxo
