I was able to appreciate them all weekend on the deck.
I have a lot of the yellow-flowering allium 'Molly' in bloom.
I have them in a few different areas.
My orange impatiens have finally begun to fill out around this hosta.
They are still a tad sparse on the opposite side.
I was totally surprised to see these buds on my purple kale. Who knew that kale bloomed--not me!
We have thunderstorms predicted for tonight. I am happy because it did not rain yesterday and all the containers need watering. I would be totally ecstatic if it would rain every other day for at least an hour.
Go visit Jean's Blooming Tuesday if you get
Everything look so lovely there. I really like that Allium. Very pretty!

gorgeous, as always. not a weed in sight! The kale is "bolting", like parsley, cilantro, lettuce; when it gets too warm, the plants send up the seed stalk and blow them around the yard. I never plant those things any more, they just go to seed and volunteer!
ReplyDeleteZoey, the allium looks great. I didn't know kale bloomed either!
ReplyDeleteEileen
Will you eat the kale? Take a deep breath of those peonies for me, I love how they smell.
ReplyDeleteJumping on the allium bandwagon-so cheery in your garden. Looks like things are coming along well. It's suppose to rain and I look forward to not watering myself!
ReplyDeleteYou have a stunning garden. I'm close to your zone (I'm in 4a)in Ontario. Those peonies look wonderful in the vase. I may find a place for some white ones! I also admire the hostas and walkway. I'm working on something similar and waiting for the hostas to fill in.
ReplyDeleteI'll be back to visit.
Zoey, Your woodland garden is beautiful! I love the paths through your garden and your header garden photos are lovely too.
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Beth
Why have I never heard of yellow-flowering allium 'Molly'?! It's so beautiful! I LOVE everything along your garden pathway! You are blessed with trees for some shady places along the way.
ReplyDeleteZoey What a terrific way to enjoy your peonies and they are beauties. Loved the wander thru your pathway. Lush and green, so pleasant. Rosemary
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful! Love the pathway with all the beautiful blossoms along the way!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful plants! I had an ornamental Kale last winter, but around here, it has to go by Spring due to the heat. Yours is gorgeous. I can't wait to plant some this fall.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteThat's what happens to my Peonies every year, so I just make huge bouquets for the house. Love the Moly Alliums, so use to the purple & white ones. :)
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are gorgeous! Garden heaven!
ReplyDeleteZoey, I love the yellow and orange pops of color against all the green! The orange with the hosta is a perfect combo. Glad you at least got to enjoy some of your peony. Jean
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed seeing your garden beds as well as the blooms. That bird house with the yellow roof looks great with the alliums.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my BT post. The false sunflowers are heliopsis helianthoides.

ReplyDeleteZoey,
ReplyDeleteYour peonies are beautiful as well as your Allium. I see you have some wonderful hostas also.
Well that would be perfect for our gardens but... Glad you were able to enjoy those peonies on the deck.
ReplyDeleteZoey, isn't that often the case with peonies, just when they are in bloom the rain knocks them down. They are pretty on the deck..enjoy!
ReplyDeleteYour garden looks great!
Always thought that kale was interesting but never tried to grow it.
ReplyDeleteYou have such a beautiful garden with so many things to enjoy! Fantastic photos.
