This geranium just started blooming today. I can't seem to remember its name--don't you hate when that happens?
Below I have a nice bunch of iris and orange poppies.
Under this Iris bunch, I have some blooming heuchra. I love the pink/red color of the delicate heuchra flowers.
This is an Allium 'Hair' bud atop a 15-inch scape. The flower (I use "flower' loosely as Allium Hair looks nothing like a normal flower) will not emerge from its papery casing for a few more weeks.
Among all the purple iris, I have just one bearded yellow iris:
I have tons of the very invasive Star of Bethlehem (Ornithogalum umbellatum):
My neighbor gave me a bag of the tiny bulbs 20 years ago. I think the tiny white star-shaped flowers are quite beautiful. The green grass-like foliage turns brown and just melts away by mid summer. If you have a tiny garden, don't plant this; but if you have a lot of space, I think the flowers outweigh its invasive tendency.
And here's a long shot of one side of the Arbor Gardens (none of the pics above came from this garden). This area does not have much in bloom--lots of lilies will hopefully burst forth soon.
The following is not a flower, but almost as lovely. This is the first time I have made Cheese Tortellini soup. I used packaged cheese tortellini which made for a very quick, super easy dinner.

Hi Zoey ~ to not have a lot in bloom...you sure have a lot of flowers that are unique and beautiful! The top flower is a variety that's new to me, but it is wonderful! Does it bloom all season like the regular geranium annuals? The iris and poppy are both striking colors together, but I'm not familiar with the little heuchra flower growing underneath. Can't wait to see the Allium Hair--another unusual newby! And I have Star of Bethlehem...but never knew that's what the name was! I have it planted in a bed where it doesn't matter if it spreads--yes it is gradually invasive. Your photo is beautiful around the rock. I loved visiting here this morning!
You have quite a few blooms this week. That Geranium in the first shot looks like 'Johnson's Blue'. I love your yellow Iris, she's so pretty. :)
Zoey love the colour combo of poppies and the iris then a slightly different version with the heuchera blooms so striking....

I love the purple/orange combo and use a lot of it. I think your geranium is either Johnson Blue or Roxanne.....I love, love, love Roxanne! You have a beautiful garden.

I can't help but laugh because among my purple Irises I too have a yellow one - how funny. Your blooms are gorgeous, especially the geranium. Perhaps it could be a "Johnson Blue".
That star of Bethlehem is amazing! It reminds me of snow! Love the contrast between the poppies and the iris. Lovely garden!
