This hummer block went together pretty easily. I am not too happy with the background fabric because of all those visible seams. I should have doubled the fabric. Live and learn............
Thank you all for the nice comments on the cardinal block.
I am having so much fun with these. I can't wait to get home from work to make another one. I love to get so involved with a project that I am eagerly anticipating the next time I get to work on it.
I think I will do an owl next.
Let the Basting Begin!

I am using my dining room table to baste this big one -- it's about 105 x
105 inches (king size).
It's been a while since I've finished one this big.

The little hummer is so cute. They are very frequent visitors to our feeder (year round!)

This one also looks nice. You are a very busy girl if you can do that in one night!
ReplyDeleteAdorable! Can you not line the back with the light color when you quilt it? It really isn't that bad.
ReplyDeleteHi Zoey, I've been away for the holidays and then a little busy when I got back. I had 25 posts (or something like that) of yours to read! Well, I'm finally all caught up, but I hope you'll forgive me if I don't comment on all of them. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI enjoy seeing all your quilting projects. You are so busy and so very, very creative. My goodness! I especially love that cardinal, and the rose as well.
Happy New Year and wishing you all the best for 2007.
Sue, you're so lucky to see them all year!
ReplyDeletePat, Are you making a pieced runner?
Laurie, This one took about an hour and a half to do, so it wasn't too bad. It's how I unwind after work.
Dianne, that is exactly what I will be doing. Once I quilt the background, it won't be very noticeable (hopefully).
Karen, Thank you. I hope you had a wonderful holiday! I guess I was a pretty prolific poster while you were gone. hee hee
I'm making a patchwork runner. I'm needle challenged so we shall see.
