I agree with the majority of people when they say CC is way overpriced. Yet it is the place where I buy almost all of my clothing and accessories. If you have been reading my blog for a while, you know I like a bargain. I would NEVER EVER pay regular CC prices for most of their items. They used to have good quality clothing, etc. but in the past year, I have found them to be going downhill in that department and stated so on the recent survey they sent me.
I still find that most of their costume jewelry is quite nice--big quality lobster claw clasps on necklaces, etc. I recently bought a necklace at JC Penney and it was way inferior to CC jewelry, yet I paid more for it than I normally do at CC. Let me illustrate:

The prices you see are today's prices. I ordered mine two days ago, when it was 50% off. I searched the net for a free shipping code and found one!
So I bought all three of these items for $36.01 and that included tax! I don't think it gets much less expensive than that.
I have not received them yet, but I will probably be happy with all of them. I mean, really, who does not NEED a reversile reptile belt? LOL. I certainly do. I have a lot of jackets that will go will this belt.
My only regret is that I did not order the zebra belt.

ReplyDeleteI'd never heard of Coldwater Creek until you mentioned it on your blog but I've always admired the clothes you've bought from them. The jewelry you just ordered is gorgeous and the prices sure can't be beat:-) Like you, I refuse to pay full price for anything, you know that eventually it will go on sale! lol xoxo
ReplyDeleteZoey, can I borrow the belt?! I love it! The Coldwater Creek's clothes have something funny about them, to me. I am 5'11" tall and the shirts don't even come to the top of my pants and the shoulders are "round" and the pants are too short. Always. I love the look in the catalog, but when I get the garment home and on me, it makes me look like a vagabond! You, however, wear it well, Zoey!

ReplyDeleteI was in the CC store in a nice mall the other night and I saw a few things I liked, but they were flimsy and still expensive. Now I do recall how nice the 'outlet' store was down in the beach area of Delaware. I remember I bought several things that day. I think the outlets get what's left of overstock of something or sizes that may not have sold in the regular stores. I don't buy that many clothes through catalogs because I can wear a medium to a XL and need to try the things on. My favorite finds were at Kohls, Macy's and good ol' Peebles (where I worked).
