It reminds me of fireworks!
I think I will plant it next to this aqua orb in the Arbor garden:
In front of the Agastache are two Heuchera 'Circus' that I just purchased.
I should probably separate the there colors. I have never grown Aagastache before. Those of you who know about this plant, what do you think? Will they cross pollinate and produce muddy colors if leave them as planted in the container I bought?
Wow-those Agastache are gorgeous. I'm unsure about the cross pollination. If you are going to over-winter, you'll need to get them out of the container and planted. Cross pollinating wouldn't affect them--only the seedlings would be crossed. Are they hardy to your area? I'm a zone 4 here and only my foeniculum comes back the next year.........
ReplyDeleteSue,
DeleteYes, I will plant them in the ground as soon as I decide where they should go. The tag says they are hardy to zone 5, so it's a gamble whether they will even survive.
The Agastache are lovely. I've not had them but have always loved them. They look gorgeous together. I'd just wait and see what happens with seeding. I love the Heuchera.

Cher, that is probably what I will end up doing. I will plant them as is and cross my fingers that they return next year.

I'm growing a couple of different Agastaches, but I haven't tried saving seed from them. They come back every year. You could try asking the folks who run High Country Gardens, they grow and propagate lots of Agastaches.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great suggestion, Allison.
ReplyDeleteI don't know a thing about them but I love the looks of them. They DO remind me of fireworks- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, Diana.
DeleteThey are so pretty! I didn't know what they were. Not sure if I could plant anything that I can't pronounce!
ReplyDeleteLOL, Patti!
