That's the weather prediction.
No wonder I have no enthusiasm for planting.
My primroses are blooming.
They are always so bright and colorful. I like them blooming at the same time as the tulips. I also love them next to big boulders. Have you ever noticed that many flowers look good next to rocks? At least I think they do.
Yesterday was nail day and I asked her to give me something "bright and springy".
I think I got just what I asked for. This is certainly bright! I only have the nail art on the ring finger. Otherwise it's too much. The background is a new summer jacket that arrived yesterday.
Now if the weather would just cooperate, I'd be all set.
Making Miscellaneous Christmas Quilt Blocks

At the moment, I have no idea what will become of these quilt blocks I have
been making for the past couple of weeks. I guess they will remain in this
bin...

Hello dear Zoey,
ReplyDeleteBack from my trip and now trying to visit all my favourite people:-) Isn't this weather unbeliebable? It's only 48F here right now and we had some snow flurries this morning...bleck! It's supposed to warm up by the weekend so hopefully that will be the last of the unseasonably cold weather!
I just love the way you got that nail done up...it actually goes really well with your new summer jacket:-)
Love the way your gardens are filling up with various flowers...I still only have tulips blooming. I have 4 rose bushes to plant, as well as a hydrangea but waiting until it warms up!!
Take care my friend. xoxo
Hi Zoey!
ReplyDeleteLove the nail art :) It looks so summery and bright. I knew that Pea had snow flurries as I talked to her on the phone today (Wed) I didn't realize though that the bad weather was in your area too.
Warm weather can't be too far away, can it??
xo
For some reason, I thought primroses were hard to grow. I guess all I've ever had were the ones someone gave me for an Easter gift that were forced or dried out.
ReplyDeleteFancy nails! Mine look rather shabby right now. I only do my nails when it's a wedding or special event.
I'm back from a little holiday and just like Pea I'm reading back on all my favorite blogs.
ReplyDeleteOooh love that nail art..how do you keep it nice with gardening?? You must be a 'glove gardener'...you should see my hands when I get done planting..not pretty!!
Nice colors in your new summer jacket!
Hi Pea!
ReplyDeleteSusie, Pea and I have almost identical weather. We are always within a few degrees of each other. I am glad to have someone who shares this less than ideal gardening weather.
Dianne, I have not found these difficult at all. They have been there for at least 10 years.
If I didn't have to work with the public, my nails would not be all fancied up either. I've been doing these nails for over twenty years.
Betty, I hope you had a great time!
I do wear gloves when I garden. In fact, I wear them anytime I stick my hands in water or do something messy.
