I really like both colors. I wish I knew the name of this sawtooth-edged beauty, but when I bought it, there was no name tag. Don't you just hate that? I know I do!
Update: Thanks to Eileen, who knew this was 'Henna' coleus. I must remember this one for next year. It is the most beautiful coleus I have ever planted.

Wow-I really love the sedum. I have just a couple of plants and they're spread apart pretty far. I love the effect of a "sea" of them. Very pretty!

DeleteColeus looks like Henna if you bought it at Home Depot. They had trays of Henna and Wasabi and I put both of them together, great looking!
ReplyDeleteYour sedum looks wonderful, not flopping like mine. I now have Autumn Fire which isn't supposed to flop, but I think it gets too much water. In the alley it stands upright because I hardly ever water out there.

DeleteThe sedum looks very pretty. I agree with Eileen they are coleus. My Mother grew them all the time. I ususal grow them too, but did not get any this year.

DeleteLooks lovely Zoey. I do love that Coleus also. The Sedum is a nice constant for this time of year. I even pruned some for a vase in the house. No smell but they do look pretty and sure live long.

Cher, When my gardens were young and I needed more sedum, I would use in bouquets for a couple of weeks or however it took to grow roots, then replant it outside. It's a very versatile plant!

We are finally winding down from a very hot summer, it's been raining off and on for the past week, flooding in parts of the Valley, but we only suffered a microburst that took down our last remaining tree in the backyard. Actually we drove around and we counted 80+ trees that were wind damaged or pulled out of the ground in our neighborhood. I always read your blog entries, but I'm lazy and don't always leave a comment. :)
