Among the hosta along this path, I have mostly yellow-gold daylilies and red carpet Asiatic lilies....
I really enjoy the one clump of Elijah Blue Fescue grass that I have in this garden:
I have had it for about three years and it has never bloomed. Maybe the third year will be the charm.
As you pass through the arbor, I have some pink Manhattan Asiatic lilies and white Feverfew:
If you continue down the walking path, you will come to a nice big clump of Manhattan lilies:
There is also a nice clump of Sweet William on the opposite side of this path:
On the opposite side of the Arbor Gardens, I have some
Astilbe blooming. This is the best my garden will look for the whole summer. It is sad that it only lasts about 10 days.
Zoey your gardens are exceptionally lovely this year. Rain this year sure made a difference for you vs drought last year. :)

Thanks, Cher. I do love the rain and the cool temps!
DeleteI really like how all of your lilies are adding such wonderful pops of color to your garden. It is beautiful. It looks like you have been having a great summer.
ReplyDeletethanks, Stacy. My garden & I both love the cool temps and all the rain.
DeleteZoey- You have one of the most beautiful private gardens I have ever seen. They are just works of art and all your love and dedication to them shows! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteAwwww, thanks, Diana, for that kind comment!
DeleteI know I've said it before...I would have a hard time going inside, if I had your garden. I would find a shady spot and take my tea and a good book and just take in all the beauty around me. It's not as nice, but going on this tour was wonderful.

On the weekend I often take a magazine and sit at the table in the wooded area. The problem is that I can never sit for long. I will see a grass head or some other weed and jump out to get it... before I know it I have a whole bucket full of weeds!
DeleteOh lady!! It is just so beautiful! Your space makes me happy! I hope you are enjoying your blooms!
ReplyDeleteI am enjoying them! Especially since we have had enough rain to keep the grass green. Brown grass ruins the garden!
DeleteI know you put a lot of work into your gardens and it really shows! They are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Barb. I really don't have to do too much work this year. I would say less than 3 hours a week keeps them in decent shape.
DeleteOh, it's spectacular!!
ReplyDeleteI would NEVER leave during that.
Thanks, Sue. I wish I had two weeks off during this time so I could enjoy them more. During the week I take a peek from the bedroom as soon as the sun comes up, and then around 5 pm I might take a walk through the paths. That's about it until the weekend.
DeleteBEAUTIFUL!! Wish I had you in my neighborhood!

DeleteWhat fun it would be to live near my long-lost Sista!
Wow...it's really like everything is blooming simultaneously...you must be overwhelmed!
ReplyDeleteHi Scott,
DeleteYes, it does all seem to bloom at one time. I do have another rush or red daylilies that will bloom a bit later, so everything is not quite done.
Your garden looks fantastic, Zoey! The pops of color throughout are stunning.
ReplyDeleteTY, Beth. Have fun on your trip!
DeleteThanks again for this peek into your beautiful garden, Zoey. You work so hard to have this happen..I'm all for finding a shady spot in your garden with a good book and a cool drink.
ReplyDeleteI just added a couple of spots that would be perfect for that, Betty.
DeleteOh if only I could be down in a jiffy:)

DeleteYour garden is really amazing, Zoey, just like you! Do you also continue your crafting and quilting at this time of year or is that a winter activity only?
ReplyDeleteI don't do much quilting and crafting during the summer, LostRoses. I used to do it year round, but age has a way of reducing one's energy...not to mention the job demands.
DeleteWow- your garden is just fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI finally came over for a visit! Your gardens should be in a magazine! Wow! I love all the different colors, textures and plants. Visually wonderful!
ReplyDeleteMy gardens, not so much. Half my yard is muck from too much. My shrubs like hydrangeas love it! I am glad I mulched a lot of the areas, but I have a lot of weeding to do when our heat wave goes away.
Too much rain that is!
