Grey or Gray?
I have been having quite the dilemma over the spelling of this color. I have always thought it to be "grey". But most often when I see it on other blogs, they spell it "gray". I tried to spell it with the "a", but it just does not feel right. So I am now going back to "grey".
So................some of you may remember this orange/grey color scheme I showed awhile back.
I was considering it for DH's tiny office space. So far we have not painted that room. We are so overwhelmed with changing everything , that we have just left it as is. I am getting more and more like that. Everything seems to be such a big hassle, that I do nothing instead. It's so much easier that way.
I still love this color scheme...........so much so, that I recently wore it!
Grey and orange--it's a great combo -- whether on the walls or on the bod--I love it!
I need to finish this turkey project that I started in February.
I made two of these and intended for them to be table drapes for a buffet or dessert table for Thanksgiving. Now I don't think I will be cooking for Thanksgiving, but I may finish them off just in case. There is always next year and it would be nice to be ready if I do need them.
Let the Basting Begin!

I am using my dining room table to baste this big one -- it's about 105 x
105 inches (king size).
It's been a while since I've finished one this big.

Zoey that is the cutest pumpkin I have ever seen. I know you will make something exciting with him.
ReplyDeleteLove your outfit! I love that color this time of year! I spell it GREY too. Maybe that is old school but it feels right to me. I think either spelling is correct though!
ReplyDeleteI have to do my hubby's office too..and I need to get my butt in gear. It is VERY small and so I have to make wise use of all the space that is in there. Plus, there are two doors and 2 long, big windows...sigh...xo Diana
I love the turkey! Could you post the pattern or email me the name of it? Adorable!
ReplyDeleteHi Zoey, I read somewhere that gray/grey can be spelled either way. I'm not even sure which way I spell it. Anyway it looks good with orange.
ReplyDeleteI love your turkey. I wish I could sew, but I can't.
Have a great weekend.

Hi Zoey. I tried the grey trend, but grey looks pink in my house. Turns out some grey has red undertones and some have blue. I couldn't figure it out and after many tries, went back to a taupe.
ReplyDeleteAfter 5 years, hubby's office never touched. He thinks it's white. It's still builder's primer.
Love the turkey. I wish I saw more things like that to buy.
I think I have that gray/grey issue too. I watch 'Grey's Anatomy' and hook that spelling with proper names.
ReplyDeleteI really like that color scheme as you don't see it everyday. Gray isn't that an exciting of a color and then the orange makes it so!
Nice outfit and cute turkey!
Gray is the way it's spelled in the US and grey is the way it's spelled in England, but I believe most people just spell it whatever way.

You must be English. It is spelled (for the most part) gray in the US and grey in the UK.
ReplyDeleteHave a jolly weekend old chap...Balisha
just love the orange and grey together, Zoey. I have a grey sweater and an orange cashmere scarf that I cannot wait to wear together!!! After the snow that we got this weekend, it won't be long before we are wearing our woolens!
ReplyDeleteYour turkey makes me smile.
Orange and grey..good color choices..Zoey, I love what you put together! I have the same dilemma but I usually come up spelling it 'grey'.
