"I said, 'That's the level we want to get to, and we've got to get that quiet swagger and confidence that the Yankees got,"' he said. "I used them as an example. It's kind of ironic that we got to play them, and fortunately beat them."
We sat in a bar Saturday night sipping our libation of choice while watching the underdogs earn the right to play in the American League Championship Series. We were waiting for an empty table for dinner.
The things I do to get a blog picture!
Imagine sitting in a dark bar full of sports fans glued to the tube and someone stands up and snaps a FLASH picture. Just a tad embarrassing....but I'm getting used to people looking at me wondering what kind of nut I am.
I rarely go into a restaurant anymore without photographing my meal.
See, here's my dinner salad
My main dish of shrimp fettucine
and breakfast Sunday morning!
That's what blogging has done to me.
Be careful.
I hear it's a contagious disease.
Too late! I've caught the bug! Your shrimp fettucine looks so yummy!!
ReplyDeleteMy friend in culinary school takes photos of not only the food she prepares, but every meal when she is traveling-and whoever she is eating with.
ReplyDeleteI took a photo of my breakfast on vacation too-because it had scrapple included. Do you know what that is?
Shrimp Fettucini is my favorite dish. I try to eat it at least once a week.
ReplyDeleteDianne, I've heard of scrapple. Isn't it parts of pork head or brains or something?
ReplyDeleteAs I recall, it's made by boiling and shredding all the meat left on the bones after butchering the pig. They then add onions, spices and cornmeal, boil it up like a thick polenta, cool it and slice it up, fry it and pour maple syrup over the stuff. I never could get past the description of the recipe!
ReplyDeleteI do it too, Zoey,
ReplyDeleteI am always the one with a camera in her purse, to document whatever is going on. Waiters take shots for me, too!
My father in law makes and eats scrapple all the time. I don't know how he got started on that.
I think I already caught it!! During Thanksgiving dinner, I had quite a few pairs of eyes rolling when I was taking pictures of the food!! lol The fettucini certainly looks yummy as does your breakfast!!
ReplyDeleteIt's very contagious! Looks like a fun time. That fettucini looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteIt's good that you don't mind people gaping and thinking you're crazy :) We love to see what you're up to!
Oh the food in that bar that you had!!! I want some.
