I am so glad you stopped by to visit my garden. I garden in lower northern Michigan (zone 5) in far less than ideal conditions. I have too many pine trees, too much shade, too many rocks, herds of hosta-munching deer and rabbits who think my lilly buds are gourmet appetizers. I am by no means an expert in horticulture or garden design--just an amateur with a shovel and a passion. My garden changes daily during the summer and I will be updating frequently.
During the winter months, I blog about my favorite cold-weather hobby--quilting and just my everyday musings.
I hope you enjoy your visit, and that you will come back soon.

Grrr, I do not like this animal. We have it not in the garden.
ReplyDeleteSigrun
What an ugly, roughy, muddy toad! Is he by himself? Hope he does some good in your garden...:-)
ReplyDeleteSigrun, No toads in Germany? I did not know that.
ReplyDeleteNutbuk, Yes, he sure is an ugly thing, isn't he?
They really do no harm. They eat the bad bugs,so they are good to have in the garden. :)
Toad in the Hole -- where have I heard that before? I think it's some kind of British food.
ReplyDeleteI almost never see toads in the garden anymore! We have one teeny frog who lives inside our hose reel area.
ReplyDeleteWe have lots of toads around here but I never realized they lived in holes like that! Not a very handsome fellow is he! lol
ReplyDeleteHe's cool looking! I've only see the little leopard frogs hopping around this year-they won't even go near the pond for some reason.
ReplyDeleteI never knew they lived in holes either. Maybe if you kissed him......
