Farm livin' is the life for me.
Land spreading out,
so far and wide
Keep Manhattan,
just give me that countryside.
This pic reminds me of Lisa from the TV show Green Acres.
Anybody remember that one?
She was a city girl who followed her husband to his dream—a dilapidated old farm. She was always wearing long gowns while she did farm chores.
I got home from work and threw on this comfy lounging thing. It’s about the most comfortable thing I own and I wear it out on the deck all the time after work . It was getting dark and windy outside so I thought I should run out and put the shovel and wheelbarrow away before the storm. See how windy it was
That was three hours ago. The wind died down, it’s still too hot and no storm yet. I keep checking the weather channel and it still says we are under extreme thunderstorm warnings.
I'll believe it when I see it.
Here's to thunderstorms
Cheers!

I am using my dining room table to baste this big one -- it's about 105 x
105 inches (king size).
It's been a while since I've finished one this big.

LOL Zoey all you need is a diamond necklace and a couple of diamond rings and you would look just like Lisa. Please don't tell me your husband farms in a 3 piece suit..

Green Acres was a hoot! We even stayed in a motel down at the beach named after it. I loved Wilbur the pig and how Eddie Albert had to make a phone call. : )
ReplyDeleteI have a few comfy dresses too.
Cheers Zoey!
ReplyDeleteWe had that wind earlier too. I heard rain about an hour ago though, so I hope you got yours too. It's definitely skirt weather in this heat -- never thought of wearing a long gown, though. LOL!
ReplyDeleteThat was one of my favourite shows of all time:-) And now, thanks to you, I've got the darn song in my mind and can't stop humming it! lol We were also under severe weather warnings with chances of tornados...I hurriedly put all my potted plants out of harm's way, took down the patio table umbrellas, etc....it got so black, windy and dark, rained a few drops..then cleared up! It lasted a total of 2 minutes! lol
ReplyDeleteShouldn't it be chiffon?

Poor girl, she was the 'other' Gabor... I only ever remember ZsaZsa!
Where I live, it is often very windy. But we have no tornados here.
ReplyDeleteYour daylily looks wonderful! Zoey, cheers!
