When I got home I immediately went outside to continue the spring cleaning. I finished raking the rock wall area, and decided it was time for a little celebration.
Unfortunately the only wine I had on hand was this bottle of blueberry from a local winery that my sister gave me for my birthday - 3 years ago!
Someone else gave me a bottle of this same wine and I hated it. In fact, I dumped it down the drain, so I wasn't too excited when I opened this bottle.
But, oh my, I was pleasantly surprised. This wine tasted quite good. Maybe the 3 years it aged did something to make it taste better. I found it quite palatable.
To spring! Cheers!
Now I think I will spend a little time finishing this black & white table runner I started two days ago.
Zoe,
ReplyDeleteIsn't it amazing you try something one time and do not like then try years later and you enjoy it. Glad you got to spend time outside
Hi Zoey,
ReplyDeleteI've never tried blueberry wine. Is it sweet?
We hit 90 today and it feels like summer!
xo
Cheers! It hit 70 here too for the first time!
ReplyDeleteWe're having that gorgeous weather too! I have 'woodland' garden area cleaned out and planted pansies today. I'm tired for being outside.
ReplyDeleteBlueberry wine does sound interesting and I guess it must have aged well.
I can hardly wait to see your garden in full bloom Zoey! I know you put a lot of work in it and I enjoy seeing the fruits of your labour!!
ReplyDeleteMy garden is quite small compared to yours but it gives me great joy to 'work the soil'.
My husband and I buy a sparkling wine that doesn't taste that great fresh, but once it is aged for two years in a cool place, it is delicious! Definitely worth the wait.
