Making Miscellaneous Christmas Quilt Blocks
-
At the moment, I have no idea what will become of these quilt blocks I have
been making for the past couple of weeks. I guess they will remain in this
bin...

As much as we need the rain we are getting today - just once I would love snow. Lots and lots of snow. I would put up with the cold, incovenience and all the hassels it would cause just to enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteI have to admit that snow is really pretty. I just am not crazy about driving in it. Do you live near you work?
ReplyDeleteNice pictures.
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful is that! The few times that I have been in the snow I have been struck by how quiet the world seems. Is it like that at your place?
ReplyDeleteLike Sandy - I wouldn't enjoy driving in it either.
Calidore, I so wish I could send you all of my snow!
ReplyDeleteSandy, I can't tell you how much I HATE driving in this stuff. Luckily I am only 2 miles from work. Still, I am afraid to go look outside and see how much more we may have gotten overnight.
Alice, for some reason, I think I remember seeing snow scenes on your blog. I guess that is why I think there is snow in your part of the world. . . must have been a freak snowfall or it was a different blog and I am all mixed up.
Yes, after a snowfall the world is quiet....that's because everyone is so busy digging out, there is no time to be making any other noise....LOL...just kidding, but I do get SICK of this stuff very early in the season.
Yes, I did have photos of snow in Canberra this year. We don't often get it in the city - perhaps once every 2-3 years and it melts in a few hours. About 3 hours south of here are the Snowy Mountains which are covered in snow for about 3 months and it's a great skiing resort (not that I go). Further south, in Victoria, there are several mountains that also provide wonderful skiing during the winter months. Tasmania also has plenty of snow and ski fields.
ReplyDeleteLove that first shot.
ReplyDeleteI have a love/hate relationship with winter. Hate the cold, hate the dark, hate the grey/brown/black slush that is so much a part of the season.
Love the light on fresh fallen snow. The magic of a night snowfall, big silent flakes drifting against a dark sky. The joy of snow on Christmas day... and love the begining of spring, which, without winter, would be a non-event...
