Zowey! Your garden is still looking great! No idea on that container........a post of some sort? Anyways, whatever it was , it sure makes a great focal point.
I appreciate you taking the time and effort to leave a comment. I will try to answer any questions you have. Please note due to Blogger changing word verification so almost nobody can read it, I have had to change to no word verification and only allow registered users to comment.
I am so glad you stopped by to visit my garden. I garden in lower northern Michigan (zone 5) in far less than ideal conditions. I have too many pine trees, too much shade, too many rocks, herds of hosta-munching deer and rabbits who think my lilly buds are gourmet appetizers. I am by no means an expert in horticulture or garden design--just an amateur with a shovel and a passion. My garden changes daily during the summer and I will be updating frequently.
During the winter months, I blog about my favorite cold-weather hobby--quilting and just my everyday musings.
I hope you enjoy your visit, and that you will come back soon.

Well, it looks like it has tiny little pebbles or stones stuck into some type of cement material. Was it a post holder for a sign?
ReplyDeleteIt does have tiny pebbles and it is a cement material. But not a sign post.

ReplyDeleteDefinitely very heavy! I am having a great weekend. The weather is perfect for working outside.

ReplyDeleteNot a post. Sorry..... :)
DeleteConcrete drainage pipe? Your yard is gorgeous, we are still above 100° during the day in Arizona, and my yard is just struggling to survive.
ReplyDeleteGood guess, AZ, but that's not what it was. I will post the before pic in a day or so.
DeleteI'll wager another guess. Was it a refuse or cigarette trash can at a commercial business?
ReplyDeleteAnother great guess....but, no, not that either....though getting closer. :)
DeleteZoey, how much direct sun does this garden area get? And what time of day does it receive the sun?
ReplyDeleteI have no clue.
ReplyDeleteWas it a drinking fountain? Lovely garden!
