Still Waiting




for the cannas to bloom.
I like the way the buds look almost as much as I like the flowers.

The bud on the top is growing in one of my whiskey barrels.


Unfortunately the yellow daisies in this barrel seem to have stopped blooming.
I don't know what happened. I have the same plant in the barrel next to this one and they are still going strong.

    I see what you mean about the daisies. But the canna in that container is not as far along as the other one. Maybe the canna is taking from the soil at the expense of the daisies. Hm, that's probably a ridiculous idea. I don't know. Use some fertilizer with a high middle number, perhaps?

    Not ridiculous at all, Karen. I was wondering the same thing. My second theory is that perhaps I over fertilized that one.
