We had great weather for working outside this weekend.
I cut down some deck flowers to make this dahlia bouquet in a vintage aqua tea pot for my living room.
On the opposite side of the room, I cut one perfect 'Limelight' hydrangea to put in my vintage teenage head vase.
I think that hydrangeas are the perfect flower for head vases---and so easy--just snip off one flower and you are done!
Zoey- That hydrangea is PERFECT for the head vase. I think it looks like she has a bonnet on ready to go to church! Love it- and what a sweet face that head vase has- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteYes, it does look like a bonnet. I had not thought of that until you commented. :)
DeleteCan't believe your Hydrangea's are finally browning. Always that difference in our weather. Mine starting browning a couple weeks ago and most of the blooms are turning now. Yours looks great still.

That is from one of the bushes I just bought. Mine has tiny little blooms. It was not happy where it was growing, so I moved it about three weeks ago. Hoping it is happier in the new spot.
DeleteThat is the cutest head vase. I have a childhood friend Mother who collected them.
ReplyDeleteHi Betty W,
DeleteYears ago I wanted to collect them, too. They were hard to find back then. Now that the internet makes them much easier to collect, I no longer want more "stuff". LOL.
First your Halloween header is adorable!
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand I don't know what I like better the head vase or the flower in it!
Thanks, Patti!
