All the Iris Buds are Now in Flower

In my last post I showed you a lot of iris buds. In this post I will show you what it looks like today after they all burst into bloom.

One very tall vintage pink/yellow iris found its way in the center of the alliums.

These three dark purple iris are the ones that looked black when in bud:

Chives and purple iris--I never tire of that combo.

Hens/chicks on top of the driftwood looking toward the dark purple iris from above.

Same piece of driftwood looking in the opposite direction:

It just began to rain here.  That's good because I planted a few things this afternoon and they need the water.  I love when Mother Nature is so kind to me!

  5. How pretty, Zoey. Love the alliums and chives and iris. My alliums (first year for them) bloomed several weeks ago and are done--my iris and chives are blooming now. Wish my alliums would have waited....they look great together!

    1. Hi Cher,
I have had that driftwood for quite a few years. It used to be in the indoor recreation center at work and when the hotel was remodeled 10+ years ago, they gave it to me. I have about 4 large pieces, but that one is my favorite.

  7. Zoey, that driftwood piece is wonderful, especially with the arbor in the background. I don't have much iris now, just siberian but they are all beautiful.
