My Indoor Flowers are Starting to Grow/ Santa Ornament pattern

I think it's been a little over two weeks since I planted them.
The amaryllis has greened up but the leaves have been the same size since week.  The paperwhites are just beginning to straighten up.
I wanted to transfer them to a taller sided glass container, but I can't find the one I had in mind. I think I sent it off to the good will store a few months ago, thinking I would never use it again.  That always happens to me. . . whatever I get rid of I need shortly thereafter. I am going to rummage through the nearest flower vase store my basement to see if I can find something else. They will flop like crazy in this bowl.  Besides I may need that bowl for my dinner party.  I love clear pedestal bowls, don't you?  They look so elegant when filled with food.

Patti, from Osage Bluff,  recently sent me an email with this link from a site called Pinwheelponders. (pattern is the fifth row, last one).  And sure enough I liked it so much that I have already made it.  It's super cute and super duper easy. I think it took about 15 minutes to make.

Isn't he adorable?  A big thank you to Pinwheelponders for giving us this pattern and to Patti for passing along the link.

It also makes a very cute bag ornament for those who like to add a personal touch to their gift bags.

  1. Yes I think you definitely need to get those bulbs in a bigger vase or they will be laying on their sides.

    The Santa is adorable.

  3. When I grow up, I wanna be like you! Seriously, I do.

You make everything so festive and organized and you're so calm about it, no last-minute gadding about, unlike me.

Love the Santa Claus, but where do you find time to sew?? I'm home all day and have half a tree decorated, the house needs cleaning, no baking is done, my sewing machine is idle and well, you get the picture. It's not pretty, lol.

  4. Do you have your bulbs near a window? That will get the Amaryllis in full gear with the bloom stalks. After they start to open up, you can move them to where you want to display them.
