ARRRRGGGGG.....
Enough said about that.
On to more fun stuff like these Easter ideas that I found on the net:
A simple yet adorable pear salad (or garnish) and some cute biscuits.
I think they both came from Woman's Day magazine.
My favorite pear bunny is this one.
I love pears in cottage cheese (note the cottage tail--too cute!)
I am not cooking for Easter this year, but I will save these ideas for next year.
cute ideas! Aaargh about your forecast...
ReplyDeleteI just love the pear with the cottage cheese tail, my favorite combo as a child. Even the kids would eat this one. We are getting tons of rain, take cover from that snow.

Such cute ideas for Easter. I would just disregard the weather prediction..unless you have to drive in that snow..then be careful!
ReplyDeleteHi Darla,
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts exactly! :)
Eileen, I read that the bunny salad was from back in my childhood days, but my mother never made them. I had never even heard of them. I must have been a deprived child! haha
Betty, I do have to drive...HATE to drive in snow! I am sure it will melt fast.
Zoey, I'm so sorry about your nasty weather. I haven't been out for a couple weeks except to take pics. I can't wait to get my hands dirty! Jean
ReplyDeleteThat last little salad is one that my Mom used to make for me back in the 40's.I think it is in the Betty Crocker Children's Cookbook too.
ReplyDeleteI did all those things for my kids when they were small...sometimes to get fussy eaters to eat.

Zoey, I know we're hardy Northerners and all that, but this is getting downright ridiculous, isn't it? We've got way over 8" on the ground already. Oh, well, I'll still gladly take snow over tornadoes (but we had lots of thunder and lightning, too!) Such a year. Love the salad ideas for Easter.
ReplyDeleteCute foodie ideas! Bad weather report!
ReplyDelete'hugs from afar'
Oh my goodness-come on springtime in Michigan! It's close to 70 here and I have a short sleeved top and tank on as I want to go for a walk as soon as my laundry is done. I saw a butterfly today too. : )
ReplyDeleteCute foodie ideas. I guess I am cooking, but I don't have any of the food yet, but the market is a mile down the road.
No more snow!!! This is such a terrible thing!
ReplyDeleteWhen I got up this morning I looked outside and wanted to get back into bed! lol It was snowing and blowing all morning, everything is white again but hopefully it will melt in a hurry since we're supposed to have sunshine tomorrow. I was supposed to bring my mom shopping today but there was no way I was going out in that.
ReplyDeleteSuch adorable ideas for Easter...I never thought of it before but a pear does have the shape of a bunny's body:-) I'm not having any company for Easter except for my mom so it will be pretty quiet. Going to cook a ham and scalloped potatoes. xoxo
Snow!! Heavy snow, Holy Crap!
ReplyDeleteOf course then I am the one that cut grass with my winter coat and gloves on this morning.
Stay safe!
