Yarrow Marguerite
I went to a few garage sales this morning. I am happy to report that I only found one thing to buy.
This yarrow plant (yellow one in the birdhouse planter).
I believe it is Golden Marguerite. As you can see it's very floppy so I cut off all of the flowers before I planted it. Of course I did not throw them away.
I went out and picked some Shasta daisies, feverfew. loosestrife, and a few sprigs of Veronica speedwell.
You know exactly what I did with them, don't you?
Yes, they went into the birdhouse vase so I can enjoy them for a few days,
It's been getting dark and thundering which would lead any normal person to think it was going to rain. This has been going on for a few hours, but so far there has been no rain.
We need rain badly. Just look at the dead grass!
I trimmed this hedge earlier today.
I also removed all the poppies from this side garden as well as removed a ton of grass from two other side gardens.
I've had a pretty productive day already. So I may do nothing else the rest of the day!
We need rain also. Everything is so dry. We worked out in the yard all day today also. It wears you right out.
ReplyDeleteWe had a lot of rain a couple of weeks ago so the grass is still pretty green...we do need more rain now though. I can't get over the change in temps...I was just out there weeding my faerie garden and was frozen!! There just doesn't seem to be a happy medium! I was thinking of doing yard sales today but it's just too cold and windy to enjoy it much. Your flowers are looking so beautiful but then I know how hard you work at them to keep them that way:-) xox
ReplyDeleteI'll do a rain dance for you! We've had too much rain and look at the poor Oklahoma, etc areas.
ReplyDeleteI was out for 3 hours yesterday, mostly raking up bush trimmings, tying up tomatoes and pulling weeds. I'm tired today!
The yarrow is nice - your porch planters are so cool. Nice weather for weeding etc - but it's almost the 4th!! Hope you get some summer - and some rain - soon!
ReplyDeleteI happened upon your blog while looking at images of ground covers. Your garden is just lovely! I'm inspired!
