I sat down at my computer and this note is there:
Zo,
Wake me up at 6:00 a.m.
I don't think you will
be able to get out
in the morning.
What a wonderful man. He must be planning on driving me to work today. It is still too dark to see how bad it is outside. He got home late last night so he must know it's not good.
I am sure most businesses will be closed. Yesterday the schools were closed, too.
Unfortunately hotels never close for anything short of a natural disaster.
6:30am update:
Well, I am usually at work by now, but I am here blogging because DH's truck is stuck in the driveway. He is out there snowblowing and then we can (hopefully) make it down the road to the main highway. There is still a storm warning out until 6pm--guess there will be lots of blowing/drifting -- and my dear Aussie friends -- wind chill of -12 degrees! BRRRRRRRRRRRRR Your 100 degree weather is looking mighty good to me right now :)
Wow thats cold. We have a minus 14 c(wind chill) right now and that is plenty cold. Way colder than our average at this time of year. It is usually 9c.
ReplyDeleteSandy, it seems that you have a pretty nice climate...cold, but not freezing and not much snow. And you get to garden almost year round. Perfect weather!
ReplyDeleteAbove all, stay safe Zoey and your DH. I could never, ever cope with having to travel in that sort of weather; I would be scared witless.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a cosy weekend indoors for you. Glad you have lots of material to keep you company.
How did you make out yesterday?
ReplyDeletePlease keep the snow in your area. It's really cold and windy here today.
Does your husband work from home?
Your husband is a real sweetheart. He knew right where to leave the note so you'd find it :)
ReplyDeleteSorry you had such nasty weather and glad you made it home safely to that nice hot cup of coffee.
Love your snow pics. I hate having to travel in it but it sure looks pretty.
