Bitten by the PP Bug

Has a week gone by already?

I don't think I have ever gone this long without blogging!

I have been busy surfing the net for paper-piecing patterns. As you can see I have found many.

I have been fiddling around with different blocks.

Look at this little signature block. You sign and date the quilt in the center of this block and sew it to the back of the quilt. Those black triangles are so tiny that a dime almost covers the whole thing! I could never conventionally piece something that small.

Yesterday one of the practice blocks inspired me to do a mini redecoration of my kitchen.

  1. Great to see some posts from you! I seen the quilting bug has bitten you good! One of the great things about the internet are the patterns available for us crafty people. I love what you did in your kitchen too.

  2. I believe it was Simply Quilting that had an episode on paper piecing that featured a compass design. It was just beautiful.

  3. Thanks, Dianne.
Kerry, I have not made a mariner's compass yet. They look so difficult. But I may try one with PP. So many new opportunities now that I have figured out how to do it.
