For Kerry

Who asked to see a close up picture of the crazy quilt I use on my glider on the deck. I made this quilt 27 years ago before my son could crawl. He used to lay on it with his little squeeze toys...oh, the memories....

  1. :-) I looooove that quilt. It is so bright and cheerful. I have never made a crazy quilt but I just may have to try it. Any hints? Not sure where I would start?

  2. I remember 27 years ago and sewing with fabrics like this as a 18 yr old. How did it hold out being outdoors or did you bring it in every night?

  3. Kerry, I would go to the library and get a book. That is how I learned.
Dianne, it has been outside for the past week, but usually I bring in in during the week and just leave it out on weekends when I use the deck more. It has held up pretty well because it is in a shaded spot.

  4. Zoey, you have inspired me. I'm not really a 'crazy quilt' person - far too traditional, I'm afraid. But that is just stunning, and far more interesting than a regular pattern. Thanks for the photo.

Umm - what is a glider? I imagine it's some sort of seat but it's not a term we use here.

  5. Alice, thank you. A glider is just a seat that glides forward and backward...sort of like a swing.
