I have had plain cheese curds. Quite a few years ago we stopped in some tiny town in the upper peninsula at a cheese shop and I had curds for the first time. They were very good. We looked for that place last year, but it has closed. You are so lucky to have a great diner near you!Diana LaMarrehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11324428666401187803noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6735463.post-1152460469926009602006-07-09T11:54:00.000-04:002006-07-09T11:54:00.000-04:00One of my fondest childhood memories was getting f...One of my fondest childhood memories was getting five dollars and going to our local diner with my best friend. We always got the same thing - onion rings, fried cheese curds, and a chocolate malt.
Right now where I live we have a great diner that serves old fashioned malts and they are delicious!Sylvanahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13186604429680496847noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6735463.post-1152452771699438582006-07-09T09:46:00.000-04:002006-07-09T09:46:00.000-04:00Wow...I enjoyed all of the pictures you showed us ...Wow...I enjoyed all of the pictures you showed us of your little road trip...those are the most fun aren't they??
:-DTJhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11343953446581027685noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6735463.post-1152410040404342992006-07-08T21:54:00.000-04:002006-07-08T21:54:00.000-04:00Jenn,Thank you for that site. Grayling is only about 1.5 hours away.

Pea, that sounds like it was a neat place. I remember the silver containers. I sure would like to have one of those --I won't be able to rest now until I find a malt!Diana LaMarrehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11324428666401187803noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6735463.post-1152408542048631982006-07-08T21:29:00.000-04:002006-07-08T21:29:00.000-04:00I love these old fashioned diners with the 50's lo...I love these old fashioned diners with the 50's look!! When I went to Philly one year we went to this one place, can't remember the name of it, but they served the milk shakes in the old fashioned silver containers which you then poured into the old fashioned malt glasses. Elvis was playing on the jukebox...perfect:-)Carole Buranthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05497329055251626140noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6735463.post-1152407825953518102006-07-08T21:17:00.000-04:002006-07-08T21:17:00.000-04:00There is a soda shop in... er...
