I struck up a conversation with a gardener in my town, and he gave me 12 canna rhizomes he did not have room for. I may be asking you about the varieties once they seem identifiable. These are my very first cannas. <BR/>I know we're both in Zone 5, but it must get much colder in your region. Last night was our first risk for frost since May 1st, and I hauled in all my containers, as well as covered all the annuals and edibles in the ground. Worth every second, though. I think this will be the last risky night. I hope. I am enjoying your blog very much. The primrose is beautiful, and the containers you've done are fabulous. Sigh. I'm glad I haven't planted any of my container plants yet! I just love your primoses, such a happy colour combination:-) Ugh to the goutweed...I don't know how I ended up with some in my front flowerbed last year but I spent all last summer pulling it out...now I see it's coming back again so I'm trying to stay ahead of it!
